Clinical Application of Ibuprofen in Obstetric and Gynccologic Patients

Abstract
The analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects of Ibuprofen on 120 cases of perineal laceration, episiotomy and laparotomy wound have been evaluated in a double blind study and the results are as follows:
1) Treated cases with ibuprofen revealed clinically significant effects on decreasing the induration and swelling in 78.45% and the erythema in 80. 1¡Æ%.
2) Clinically significant effect on relieving of the pain was also observed in 76.6%.
3) The incidence of side effects were low.
